Maya Eisenberg
Editor in Chief
Hi! I’m Maya Eisenberg, a senior day student from Arlington, Virginia. This is my third year here at Gate. Showcasing the literary and artistic talents of our Madeira community through the magazine and other Gate-sponsored productions has been one of my most rewarding Madeira experiences. I love seeing what our students come up with - we are never short of fantastic short stories, photographs, poems, drawings, and so much more. Here at Gate, I lead the editorial team in selecting and editing writing submissions. As Editor in Chief, I also help out around various teams in the Gate Universe.

MadLit Podcast Show Runner
Hi! I’m Tara Bhatnagar, a four-year senior day student, and I’m the Head of Podcast at Gate. In the Podcast team, we script, record, and edit a full season of audio-based episodes, featuring interviews of artists and writers, research on history and literature, and our own original fiction pieces! I love how open podcasts as a medium are, as we’re able to explore so many interesting topics through a unique lens. My favorite part about Gate as a whole is the spirit of creativity and collaboration present in every aspect of the magazine. Everyone is so dedicated to making each season the best it can be, and I’m so excited to see what we accomplish this year!

Hi everyone! I’m Fiona Wang, and I am your Head of The Back Gate. I am a three-year junior boarder from Bejing, China and this is my third year as a member of the Gate staff. Located on our website, The Back Gate is Gate’s digital magazine where we aim to create layouts by literary and art pieces that are exclusive and not shown in our physical magazine. I have always been passionate about art and literature and Gate offers me the perfect opportunity to share that love with the Madeira community. By combining words with art, I am so excited to see what we will create this year together!

Hi everyone! I'm Cindy Wu, and I am the director of Public Relations and Marketing. I am a four-year senior boarder from China and this is my third year as a member of Gate staff. Gate's PR & Marketing team aims to arrange all Gate's events all-year-around, such as reading time and contests, and to spread the influence of this student-led magazine. I have always been passionate to work with my peers, strengthening our connections through the encouragement and support of literary and art creation. I am looking forward to seeing various activities this year!

Hi everyone! I am Naomi Rosen, a Junior day student from Vienna, Virginia. This is my third year working for the Gate Magazine and I am a Head Editor of our Back Gate Website and in charge of social media! The Back Gate is our online collection of work from the Madeira community that showcases the Back Gate digizine, MadLit Podcast, and a variety of different sections.
